Dear Mustangs,

Bienvenidos/Welcome to Norco College!

I am glad you have chosen to continue your educational journey at Norco College. My name is Maria Jurado, and I am the Puente Counselor.

Allow me share a little bit about myself. I was born in Quito, Ecuador and came to California with my family when I was three years old. As much as my parents wanted me to succeed academically, they were unable to help me because they didn’t understand the college process. I relied on my counselors to guide me. This is the main reason I became a counselor, to help students that were once in my shoes. This is also why I love Puente. Puente is a program that helps underrepresented students transfer to a four-year university.

Navigating the college system can be overwhelming but we are happy to help!​ 😊
