The Office of Academic Affairs serves the mission of the college by ensuring that the educational programs, services, and learning environments of the institution are innovative and creative, while maintaining the highest standards of academic rigor and integrity. The office of Academic Affairs also ensures that pathways exist to meet students’ educational goals to strengthen foundational skills, transfer, or complete a certificate or degree. Central to supporting excellence in teaching and learning, Academic Affairs works collaboratively with every aspect of the institution and partners with the community to promote student achievement.

Dr. Jason Parks is the Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at Norco College. Dr. Parks served the college valiantly as Dean of Instruction for the Schools of STEM and Business & Management and is well known for masterfully maintaining enrollment data with weekly Monday updates. Through his leadership, the college has gained significant strides with Guided Pathways, expanded recognition with NASA SUITS, and partnered with UC Riverside’s Bourns College of Engineering to guarantee transfer for our students. Among many notable accomplishments, Dr. Parks was instrumental in leading the development of the Rising Scholar Program (prison partnership).
Dr. Parks’ passion for serving students is profound, as you will see in this digital story from 2017 where, in his previous role as Professor of Mathematics, Dr. Parks shared his experience in the classroom.
