The office of Academic Affairs also ensures that pathways exist to meet students’ educational goals to strengthen foundational skills, transfer, or complete a certificate or degree. Central to supporting excellence in teaching and learning, Academic Affairs works collaboratively with every aspect of the institution and partners with the community to promote student achievement.
Dr. Carol Farrar
Interim Vice President, Academic Affairs
Dr. Carol Farrar is the Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs at Norco College. Dr. Farrar's connection to Norco College runs deep, as she spent 13 years as a beloved psychology professor before venturing into administrative roles. Serving as both interim dean of instruction and later as dean of instruction for six years, she has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills within and outside the classroom.
From 2017 to 2021, Dr. Farrar expanded her horizons at RCC, where she served as Vice President for Academic Affairs. During her tenure, she played a crucial role in advancing the dual enrollment programs: College & Career Access Pathways (CCAP), the Early College High School program, and the onsite Gateway College & Career Academy. Also, among her many accomplishments, the development of RCC's Guided Pathways stands out as a significant achievement.
