Music Industry Studies is the study of contemporary trends and practices within the music industry, discussing key music technologies, global music cultures, popular music scenes, music business practice and live music performance. Norco Music​ offers a wide variety of experiences and challenges, while giving students individual attention and opportunities for growth. World-class instructors and professionals at Norco College strive to create an atmosphere where students feel included, encouraged and supported.​

Career Options


Career options​ for students who get a degree in music include: performing artist, songwriter, music director, commercial composer, audio engineer, record producer, music programmer, conductor, music teacher, dj, music journalist, and music agent.​

Isaiah Villar


​Norco College student Isaiah Villar was selected as the 2021 Student of Distinction in the discipline of Music Industry ​Studies. He was nominated by Professor Brady Kerr.

​“He has been a mentor to me,” said Isaiah. “He's given so ​​many mixing tips he's pushed me to become a better artist and better creative. And so without him, I don't think I would have been the artist... I am today.”
