Experience

Please join Norco College in welcoming Ross Miyashiro who will be serving as the Acting Dean of Enrollment Services during the Spring 2024 semester. With over thirty-seven years of experience in higher education, Ross brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role.

Having completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at California State University San Bernardino, Ross has held various leadership positions, including Director of Academic Advising, Associate Dean of Transfer and Student Services, Dean of Enrollment Services, and Vice President of Student Services at various colleges and universities. Ross's extensive experience includes over 13 years of direct experience supervising Admissions & Records, Financial Aid, Veterans Services, and Articulation. He also played a crucial role in managing the IGETC and CSU General Education course eligibility process for the California State University system.

Ross has also held leadership roles within the California Community College system including President of the California Association of Community College Registrars & Admissions Officers (CACCRAO), Chief Student Services Officers Association Region 7 Representative, and President of the Inland Consortium of Articulation and Transfer.

Ross is an avid board gamer; has served as an advisor for three different gaming clubs at various colleges & universities; holds season tickets for the Los Angeles Clippers professional basketball team and enjoys playing guitar and writing songs. And here's a fun fact, Ross served as the CSUSB representative to Norco College back when it first opened as a center in the early 1990’s.
