Experience​

Esmeralda comes to Norco College from Santa Ana College, where she served as the Budget Manager for five years. Esmeralda’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. She brings to Norco College more than ten years of professional experience in higher education budget development, complex and technical accounting experience, cash operations, internal control procedures and purchasing processes, along with a seasoned approach to leading and developing cohesive teams in financial services and auxiliary services. At Norco College, Esmeralda will be providing leadership to Business Services teams in Budget and Finance, Cashiering, the College Resource Center, and Food Services.​

Esmeralda has a reputation for subject matter expertise, dependability, a dedication to student success, and the ability to work collaboratively to support the business needs of the college community. As a community college success story herself, she notes that it’s the people and environment that make the difference in students’ success, a perspective that will serve the college well as we transition into the State’s new Student Centered Funding Formula.
