Experience
Valorie Piper joined Norco College last year as the Administrative Assistant IV for Strategic Development. With over twenty years experience, she most recently was the Executive Operations Assistant to the Chief Information Technology Officer at the University of California, Riverside & Interim Human Resource Analyst, after being internally promoted from the School of Bioengineering. She previously worked with the Riverside County Department of Public Social Services as well as our very own RCCD Foundation! She also has deep private sector experience as a Valuation Manager including asset valuation, marketing, operational effectiveness, and procurement.
Valorie has served in a number of important roles in higher education over the past six years and prior to that she worked 17 years in the mortgage/finance industry and three years in information technology. Her higher education career started in 2014 at the Bioengineering Department at the University of California, Riverside. She served as Executive Administrative Assistant to 12 faculty Principle Investigators, who managed over $70 million in NSF, HSI and NIH grant funding. Her academic credentials include a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with minors in accounting and finance. She possesses vast experience in the areas of project, budget and grant management, and is well equipped to provide leadership to the ongoing work of the National Center.
