Common Course Numbering (CCN)

Assembly Bill No. 1111 requires California Community Colleges to adopt a Common Course Numbering (CCN) system for all general education requirement courses and transfer pathway courses to streamline transfer from two- to four-year postsecondary educational institutions and reduce excess credit accumulation. The Phase I, IIA and IIB courses are described below. Additional Phase IIB courses will be implemented in the 27-28 catalog.
