Experience

Becerra brings nearly 20 years of experience in the community college system, with a strong focus on student services, leadership development, and college and career counseling. She is passionate about creating inclusive, student-centered environments and is excited to join the Norco College team, where she remains deeply committed to supporting students on their academic and personal journeys.

Most recently, she served as Interim Director of Academic Advising and Student Success at Norco College, where she provided leadership and oversight for the Title V grant Échale Ganas. In this role, she supported key student success initiatives, including the Summer Bridge program, career and transfer support, engagement activities, and outreach to prospective students and their families.

Previously, she served as Interim Dean of Student Support Services at Fullerton College, providing strategic leadership across a broad portfolio of student support programs, including Disability Support Services, EOPS, CARE, Veterans, CalWORKs, Foster Youth Support Initiatives (FYSI), Health Services, Basic Needs, Student Life, Student Conduct, and Title IX. Prior to that, she held the role of Interim Dean of Student Life at Norco College, where she oversaw essential student-facing programs such as the Basic Needs Center, College Corps, Athletics, Health Services, Student Government, Commencement, and Student Conduct. In both positions, her work centered on building a sense of belonging and ensuring students had access to comprehensive, wraparound support services.

Earlier in her career, she served as Director of Academic Talent Search at Santa Ana College, leading a federally funded TRiO program that supported nearly 800 middle and high school students in the Santa Ana Unified School District. She also worked as Career Pathways Manager at Long Beach City College, where she launched grant-funded Allied Health initiatives and managed the Career Center, connecting students with real-world job experiences, internships, and career exploration opportunities.

Her background also includes extensive experience in student conduct and student life. Rosio previously served as Associate Dean of Student Development at Santa Ana College and as Director of Student Conduct and Student Life at Long Beach City College. In both roles, she championed student leadership, coordinated major campus events, and supported student growth while upholding community values and standards.

Becerra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Counseling, both from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She continues to be inspired by the resilience and determination of students and is dedicated to expanding opportunities that empower them to succeed and thrive.
