Experience
Eva Amezola serves as the project director of three Federal Department of Education Upward Bound Programs, which service Norte Vista High School, Centennial High School, and Corona High School. She is also an adjunct faculty member with the counseling department at Norco College. Previously, she worked for the TRiO Outreach Programs at the University of California, San Diego. Eva has 12 years of experience in managing, administering, and designing college support programs with social justice frameworks. She has dedicated her career to serving low-income and First Generation College bound students.
Eva is currently the Vice President of the Riverside Latino Network, an organization dedicated to addressing community issues affecting the Latino community in Riverside and surrounding areas. She is the Past-President of the Western Association of Opportunity in Personnel (WESTOP) Southern California Chapter. Eva has also served on the board of the Latina Leadership Network of the California Community Colleges.
Eva is passionate about promoting health and wellness in the community and in her profession. Eva enjoys teaching mindfulness practices and yoga to her students and colleagues. One her greatest passions is adventure and eco-tourism, she has traveled widely to more than 30 countries pursuing those experiences. She also enjoys hiking, camping, running, and being outdoors.
