Experience

As the Dean of Special Funded Programs at Norco College, I have dedicated my career to fostering inclusive, student-centered environments where all students — especially those from historically underserved backgrounds — can thrive. With more than 25 years of experience in higher education, including 14 years in leadership roles, I have partnered closely with faculty, classified professionals, and administrators to remove barriers and ensure equitable access to student support services.

I oversee a diverse portfolio of programs including CalWORKs, the Disability Resource Center, EOPS/CARE/NextUp, Foster Youth–Phoenix Scholars, and the Unity Zone, which serves LGBTQIA+ and undocumented students. My focus has always been on ensuring these programs are not only accessible but also responsive to the evolving needs of today’s diverse student body. In this role, I manage program operations, budgets, grants, and compliance with Title V regulations.

Earlier in my career, I served as Assistant Dean of CalWORKs and Special Funded Programs, Adjunct Counselor, and Outreach Specialist. I was proud to help expand access for underserved students — including English learners, first-generation, and basic skills students — through initiatives such as the First-Year Experience and Summer Advantage programs. My work also supported efforts to strengthen college-going pathways for disproportionately impacted student groups.

I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the college’s growth, including writing Norco College’s initial Student Services accreditation report, developing and implementing the first data-sharing MOU with three local unified school districts, and successfully launching the CalWORKs program when Norco became an independent college in 2010. I have also secured grants to support foster youth initiatives and proudly represent Norco College on a variety of internal and external committees.

Originally from Romania, I am a proud first-generation college student. I was raised in the Inland Empire, where I continue to live with my husband and son. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, long road trips, game nights with family and friends, and cheering for my son at his weekend soccer games.
