The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Expo on Saturday October 4, 2025, held at the John F. Kennedy Middle College parking lot, brought together thousands of students, families, educators, and community members for a morning of hands-on exploration and career discovery. Hosted in partnership with Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) and Norco College, the event served as the largest fall showcase of Career and Technical Education opportunities for the community.
The CTE Expo officially kicked off with an opening ceremony that welcomed CNUSD’s new Superintendent, Ms. Dalia Gadelmawla, as she addressed the crowd and emphasized the importance of career readiness and educational alignment from K-12 through college.
Over 2,000 attendees filled the expansive outdoor space, visiting more than 100 booths representing CNUSD high schools, Norco College CTE programs, local business partners, and community organizations. The event’s mission: to introduce students of all ages to the wide array of CTE pathways that lead directly to high-demand, high-skill careers.
At the heart of the expo were 12 engaging booths hosted by Norco College faculty, offering immersive CTE experiences in fields like:
- Manufacturing
- Supply Chain Automation
- Engineering
- Administration of Justice
- School of Business & Management
- Digital Electronics
- CTE Dual Enrollment Pathways
- Music Industry Studies
- Child Development and Teacher Preparation
- Computer Information Systems & Game Development
- General CTE Information
- Rocketry Team Demonstrations
Each booth introduced students to the many opportunities of career education, with fun and creative hands-on activities and projects that college students work on at Norco College. From Vex Robotics demonstrations, to creating designs on a computer used in video games, to a microcontroller Christmas light display, the interactive nature of the event made complex career options feel tangible and exciting—especially for younger attendees just beginning to think about their futures.
The CTE Expo highlighted the collaborative strength between CNUSD and Norco College, aligning K-12 education with postsecondary and workforce pathways. With active participation from industry and community partners, the event demonstrated how career education can be accessible, dynamic, and inspiring.
“The CTE Expo is one of our proudest traditions,” said a Norco College representative. “It’s not just about showcasing programs—it’s about opening doors and showing students that their future is bright, and their career starts here.”
From robotics demonstrations to music production workshops, the event provided something for every interest and age group. Families explored pathways together, learned about dual enrollment opportunities, and left with a clearer sense of how education can lead to real-world careers.
As the largest fall event of its kind, the 2025 CTE Expo set a new benchmark for what career readiness events can achieve. With its engaging exhibits, passionate educators, and community-wide enthusiasm, the Expo proved once again that the future is bright—and it starts here.
