Art
Art
Art has been defined by one dictionary as "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power," but it is much more than that. Art encompasses the appreciation of art, and includes such skills as painting, drawing, sculpture.
Our art program offers art history and studio art for transfer (AA-T) degrees, and associate's degrees and certificates in the area of emphasis in fine and applied arts.
Norco College student Jenny Pham was selected as the 2024 Student of Distinction in the discipline of Art and Studio Art. She was nominated by Professors Megan Lindeman and Michelle Ramin. Hear from Jenny on why she chose Art and Studio Art as her major and her experience at Norco College.
