Art History

The history of art, also known as art history, is the study of visual art across different cultures and time periods. It examines how art was created, its intended meaning, and the various factors (cultural, political, etc.) that influenced its visual appearance.

Our art program offers art history and studio art for transfer (AA-T) degrees, and associate's degrees and certificates in the area of emphasis in fine and applied arts.

Norco College Art student Brandi Gomez graduated in June 2022 with plans to transfer to Cal State Fullerton in the fall. After a 13 year break working, she came back to school to pursue her passion for art. Her career goal is to work in the video game industry. Congratulations Brandi!
