Congratulations to our February Mustang of the Month, Herchel Sweats, Maintenance Mechanic (HVAC).
Herchel Sweats, Maintenance Mechanic (HVAC), is recognized as February’s Mustang of the Month for his outstanding service, technical expertise, and dedication to supporting Norco College’s students and employees.
Known for “keeping it cool and heating it up,” Herchel plays a critical role in maintaining the college’s mechanical infrastructure, ensuring that learning and working environments remain safe, comfortable, and conducive to exceptional student outcomes. His subject matter expertise is especially valuable in caring for older systems, where skill and experience make all the difference.
Beyond his HVAC responsibilities, Herchel is the ultimate team player. With experience in electrical and plumbing, he regularly supports the Maintenance and Operations team as needed. Always ready with a smile, he approaches every project with professionalism and a commitment to completing the job efficiently for the benefit of students and employees.
Herchel also continues to invest in his professional growth by taking advanced coursework in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. In addition, he serves on the Norco College Caring Campus interdisciplinary team and is sharpening his competitive edge in the campus cornhole scene.
Herchel’s dedication to maintaining our facilities and supporting the college community reflects the very best of the Mustang spirit. Congratulations, Herchel, and thank you for all that you do for Norco College!
