Norco College is proud to announce that thirteen student veterans have been awarded the First-Generation Veteran Scholarship, made possible through the Auto Club of Southern California in partnership with the Foundation for California Community Colleges (CCC) and funded in part by the Bill and Shirl Schreiber Endowment. As part of a broader emergency aid initiative, this scholarship supports first-generation veteran students, particularly during the summer months when access to full military education benefits may be limited, providing critical financial assistance to help them stay on track with their educational goals.
In 2025, the initiative supported 106 first-generation veteran students, with $52,500 distributed to 8 California Community Colleges.
At Norco College, this funding represents a meaningful opportunity for student veterans, helping to ease financial burdens and support their continued academic success. Norco College celebrates the achievements of these thirteen students and remains committed to supporting those who have served as they pursue higher education.
