CNUSD CTE Receives President's Award

Norco College | Apr 10, 2026

Career Technical Education (CTE) at Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) was recognized with the President’s Partnership Award at the Norco College Industry Partners Awards and Breakfast on March 13, in recognition of its leadership in expanding college access and career-connected learning opportunities for students.

CTE at CNUSD plays a central role in preparing students for success beyond high school by offering structured pathways that integrate academic instruction with career exploration and technical training. Across multiple industries, students gain the skills and knowledge needed to pursue high-demand careers, earn industry-recognized certifications, and make informed decisions about their futures. Articulated coursework further supports this progress by allowing students to earn college credit while still in high school.

A key driver of this work is the district’s partnership with Norco College, which creates clear and accessible pathways from high school to higher education. Through dual enrollment and concurrent enrollment opportunities, students can complete college-level courses at their high schools or online while earning their diplomas. By removing financial barriers through waived tuition and simplifying the transition into college, these programs help more students begin their post-secondary journeys with momentum and confidence.

By aligning K–12 education with higher education and regional workforce needs, CNUSD is building a coordinated system that supports student success at every stage. Ongoing collaboration with Norco College ensures that pathways remain relevant, accessible, and responsive to the evolving demands of the workforce.

The President’s Partnership Award recognizes CNUSD’s impact in creating scalable, sustainable opportunities that expand access to higher education, strengthen career readiness, and support long-term economic mobility for students and the community.
