RCCD FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Riverside Community College District (RCCD) Foundation provides scholarship opportunities for continuing and transferring students. Qualifications for scholarships are awarded to students based on community involvement​, academic performance or financial need. Scholarship application workshops are offered to help you complete the RCC​D scholarship application and learn how to request recommendations. The application opens on October 176 2023 and the deadline is January 12, 2024Click he​re to see workshop dates and learn more about applying.​

The S-STEM scholarship provides 30-45 students with $6000 to cover living expenses and tuition while they are attending RCCD colleges for the span of 2-3 years, up until transfer to a university. 

Eligibility Requirements:
  1. Must be a legal resident or US citizen.
  2. Must be a current full-time student in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) disciplines.
  3. Must complete at least 1 semester of course work.
  4. Must be on track to transfer to a university.
  5. Must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  6. Must provide a current Financial Aid Award letter that states aid qualification due to low-income and/or financial hardship.

​The $500 “Because College is Expensive” Scholarship is open to all students and those planning on enrolling within 24 months. CALIFORNIA-NEVADA AMERICAN WATER WORKS ASSOCIATION

Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students interested in a drinking water related career field. This includes environmental and civil engineers; water, wastewater, and recycling treatment plant operators; distribution system operators; chemists; laboratory technicians; biologists, ecologists ​and environmental scientists; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades; financiers; economists.....​​whatever the role that supports safe drinking water. To be eligible to apply for HACU Scholarships, applicants must meet the following HACU Scholarship Program criteria listed below.

  • Are currently enrolled at a HACU-member institution;
  • Have graduated from a high school or have earned a high school equivalency diploma in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or outside of the U.S.;
  • Have completed your first-semester of college at a HACU-member institution;
  • Intend to enroll at a HACU-member institution in the Fall 2024 semester/term of the 2024-2025 academic year.
  • If you are transferring institutions, the institution must also be HACU-member to be eligible to apply; for the most up-to-date listing of HACU-member institutions, Please Click Here.
  • Demonstrate financial need if required by the scholarship sponsor, typically determined by the FAFSA application or State/Institutional Aid application (non-citizen students who are not eligible to complete the FAFSA).


​JACK KENT COOKE FOUNDATION TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP

​​​Transfer Scholarship opportunity for community college students planning to attend a university in 2023 Fall term! The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship makes it possible for the nation’s top community college students to complete their bachelor’s degrees by transferring to a selective four-year college or university. The Foundation provides up to $55,000 per year, making it one of the largest private scholarships for two-year and community college transfer students in the country. GOLDEN​ STATE EDUCATION AND TRAINING GRANT PROGRAM

The Golden State Education and Training Grant Program (GSETGP) supports Californians who lost their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic with a one-time grant of $2,500 to reskill, up-skill, and access educational or training programs to get back into the workforce.
