Dual Enrollment Program Helps Student Graduate from CSUF a Year and a Half Early

Dual Enrollment Spotlight Madelyn TorresMadelyn Torres, Eleanor Roosevelt High School alumni, took advantage of the Norco College Dual Enrollment program, a program that gives high school students the opportunity to take college courses at their participating high school campus.

“I want to thank CNUSD, Roosevelt High School, and Norco College for coordinating the Dual Enrollment program. This is something that really prepared me for college and helped me get ahead,” said Torres. “I will be graduating from California State University, Fullerton with my bachelor's degree in political science a year and a half early.”

Torres graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2019, and expects to graduate from CSUF in the next couple of months, saving her and her family much time and money. In addition to exceling in her studies, Torres landed an internship at the office of External Affairs for the California Governor.

Norco College offers Dual Enrollment classes that span across four school districts and 11 high schools. Participating high schools include Corona, Centennial, Eleanor Roosevelt, Norco, Santiago, John F. Kennedy, Jurupa Valley, La Sierra and four California Virtual Academy (CAVA) locations.
