Experience

David Schlanger has served Norco College since 2018, first as the college’s Career Center Director and then as the Program Manager of the college’s Title V project PACES: Pathways to Access, Completion, Equity, and Success. He currently supports the college as the Interim Dean of Student Services.

With experience in the community college system since 2005, he has spent much of his career developing programs in Student Services areas including counseling, career services, and student employment. He also spent several years working in Academic Affairs to support the development of curriculum, catalogs, and schedules. In recent years, David has been heavily involved in Guided Pathways projects and Strong Workforce initiatives, including service on the state chancellor’s Guided Pathways Advisory Committee. He currently provides leadership over the college’s Counseling Department, Transfer Center, Career Center, Engagement Center, Financial Freedom Program, and Equity Programs.

As a first generation college student, David credits his early experiences and graduation from community college as the influencing factor that drove him to later pursue a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Biola University and a master’s degree in Management from the University of Redlands.

David was born and raised in the Inland Empire and is dedicated to serving our communities and helping students transform their lives through education.
