ConferZoom is a free Zoom account for California community colleges. It allows you to host and connect to Zoom meetings, without the limitations of a basic account. You can host up to 300 participants for an unlimited number of minutes, and you can record your meetings in the cloud. You can sign up at
Meeting and Recording Settings
Settings can be changed at the default level, or on a per meeting basis when scheduling.
- Navigate to 'Settings' on the left of the page.
Select the 'Meeting' tab to choose default options for live meetings.
Select the 'Recording' tab to choose default options for recording storage.
Local recordings download to your desktop, and are available only on the computer used to host your meeting.
Cloud recordings store in your account, desktop app, and download to Canvas.
Audio Transcript is available with cloud recordings.
- Open your Course, then navigate to the ConferZoom app on the left.
Go to 'Account Settings' on the top right, then 'Conferencing Accounts' on the left.
A green check appears stating your information has been stored, you are ready to schedule classes and office hours.
Cloud recordings download to Canvas.
