The District Distance Education Department is excited to introduce you to TechSmith Camtasia, video creation and editing software...
...and TechSmith Snagit, screenshot and editing software. These tools can be used to create educational and informational media:
Faculty can access the district's site license information through the Canvas RCCD DE Instructor Resources shell. You'll want to click the "Getting Started" tab for Camtasia and Snagit to access installation instructions.
The district site license is for RCCD faculty and staff only and can be installed on district computers and/or on a personal home computer. If assistance is needed with district computers or laptops, call the RCCD HelpDesk at 951-222-8388. You may also email helpdesk@rccd.edu or log in to https://servicedesk.rccd.edu/ to submit a work order.
For assistance on a personal home computer, submit a ticket directly to TechSmith Support. The RCCD HelpDesk can only assist with installation on district-owned devices. In addition, faculty are invited to contact our District Distance Education Support Specialist and our Accessible Technology and Media Coordinators for support
