Lock & Door Blok
The college safety committees researched door locking devices for inward and outward opening doors. The product selected was Lock-Blok, a passive device that prevents a locked door from closing completely. The devices were ordered by each of the colleges. As of today, Norco College received the devices and the Maintenance and Operations staff began the installation process.
While the installations are on-going, the safety coordinators are working on a joint door locking policy to support device effectiveness. The policy document will be submitted to the shared governance process through the college and District office safety committees for approval and adoption.
