Drafting technology is a professional discipline that deals with composing drawings that visually communicate how something functions or is constructed.
The Drafting Technology program at Norco College introduces students to two-dimensional computer aided design (CAD) programs such as AutoCAD, and 3D-modeling software such as SolidWorks. Students will explore isometric drawings, section views and be introduced to 3D modeling. Careers in drafting technology include: drafting and design engineer, CAD technician, and drafter's assistant.
