Lisa Hernandez

Assistant Professor, English

Norco College School of Communication,
Humanities & Languages

Lisa S. Hernandez is a Humanities Assistant Professor who has been teaching various college-level English and literature courses since 2007. Having started her college experience at a community college, she understands its unique environment. After studying abroad in London, she went on to earn her BA and MA from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with an emphasis in literature and rhetoric. During her time there, she earned a teaching assistant position and twice travelled to China to teach English. After spending some time in Boston, MA., she returned to California to continue to teach, though the travel bug still hits every now and then (most recently having taken her to Australia and New Zealand with her husband). Aside from teaching, her other interests include reading (Albert Camus and Christopher Moore), playing soccer and pickleball (indoor and outdoor), and most recently oil painting and growing Nepenthes plants.
