Supplemental Instruction Faculty Resources
Supplemental Instruction (SI) is an internationally recognized academic support program offering free, regularly scheduled study sessions for students taking traditionally difficult courses. Weekly sessions are led by a student who has previously taken the course, demonstrated academic competency in the subject area, and attends each class lecture to plan interactive and engaging study sessions. SI sessions help with content mastery and with learning and study strategies that are applicable to all subject areas. SI attendance is voluntary and confidential; students do not need to sign up for SI. These sessions are available to all students enrolled in the course at no cost.
SI is not intended to create additional work for the instructor. You can support SI by assisting us in selecting and approving candidates for future SI leaders for your subject.
