​COVID-19 Scholarship Opportunities

​Great Minds in Stem (GMiS) Scholarship

​​Merit-based scholarships ranging from $500 to $10,000. Applicants must be of Hispanic descent and/or demonstrate significant leadership or service within an underserved community. Applicants must be college students pursuing a STEM degree and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Application deadline is May 1, 2020. Click here for more information and to apply.​​

Thermo Fisher Scientific Antibody Scholarship

This opportunity is for students seeking majors in life science, such as biology, chemistry or biochemistry who have been accepted to an accredited institution. Applicants must be US citizens, permanent residents or students with applicable visa status with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Awards are between $5,000 to $10,000. ScholarSHPE

​​​W​​ith over 150 scholarships totaling over $340,000, SHPE seeks to narrow the gap in Hispanic STEM education. Applicants must be full-time college students pursuing a STEM degree with a minimum 2.75 GPA. Application deadline is May 31, 2020. Click here for more information and to apply.

Women in Aerospace (WIA) Foundation

​The WIA Foundation will award a $2,000 scholarship to a woman who is a rising junior and senior college students studying in a STEM field. Applications deadline is June 16, 2020. After College STEM Inclusion Scholarship

$500 scholarship for currently enrolled students working toward a STEM degree. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and identify as an underrepresented student, which may be defined by gender, race, ethnic background, disability, sexual orientation, age, socio-economic status, nationality, etc. Application deadline is June 30, 2020. ABC Humane Wildlife Academic Scholarship ​- Women in STEM

​​One recipient will recieve a $1,000 scholarship and up to nine additional recipients may recieve awards. Applicants must be college students pursuing a STEM degree. Applicants do not need to be US citizens to apply and the scholarship is open to all persons that identify as female. Application deadline is July 1, 2020. CharterUp National Scholarship for Immigrants and Refugees

​One recipient will be awarded $10,000 per academic year, split evenly between each semester. Applicants must be first-generation US citizens (born outside the US), refugees, or immigrants (legal documentation is not required) high school seniors with a minimum 3.4 GPA planning to attend college as a full-time student. ​Application deadline is July 25, 2020. HACU Scholarship Program

​The $500 “Because College is Expensive” Scholarship is open to all students and those planning on enrolling within 24 months. CALIFORNIA-NEVADA AMERICAN WATER WORKS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students interested in a drinking water related career field. This includes environmental and civil engineers; water, wastewater, and recycling treatment plant operators; distribution system operators; chemists; laboratory technicians; biologists, ecologists ​and environmental scientists; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades; financiers; economists.....​​whatever the role that supports safe drinking water. Click here for more information.

INTERTECH FOUNDATION STEM SCHOLARSHIP

PALANTIR FUTURE SCHOLARSHIP

​Ten scholarship recipients are chosen to visit Palantir's Washington, D.C. office for a day, all-expenses paid. Programming includes professional development sessions, breakouts with Palantir engineers, and fun social activities. All recipients are awarded a $7,000 scholarship to support their education. Applicants must be full-time college students pursuing a STEM major and be from a underrepresented racial/ethnic group (African-American/Black, Hispanic, Native American).​ Click here for more information.
