Timeline

TIMELINE for 2020 Accreditation Institutional Self-Evaluation Report (ISER)​

  • Fall semester 2017: Co-chairs and committees established.
  • Spring 2018: Standards Committees begin work. Gap analysis + evidence + rough compilation for each standard
    • April 6: Gap analysis due (before spring break)
    • June 30: Drafty draft due
  • Summer 2018: Combine drafts + edit. Identify needed evidence and elements. Work on District portions. Work on front matter. Plan for QFE.
    • June 25: Standard 1A drafty draft sent to ACCJC liaison with questions for feedback
    • By July 5: Begin discussions with Dr. Susan Mills, vice chancellor of Educational Services about District portions of ISER
    • By July 5: Standards drafty drafts merged into one document and uploaded to SharePoint
    • By July 16: Standard 1A drafty draft (revised as needed) posted to SharePoint as a resource and model
    • By July 26: Organize evidence using naming conventions
    • By July 26: Front matter (including college history, ISER process, data sections, org. charts and function maps, compliance with eligibility requirements and commission policies) drafty-drafted and organized
    • August 20: Full drafty draft completed
  • Fall 2018: Committees review/revise/update drafts. Continue to work on front matter as needed. QFE process begins. Further evidence gathering. ACCJC vice president and Norco College liaison, Gohar Momjian, to visit the college, date tba.
    • August 24 (during morning session): FLEX day presentation--showing the drafty draft on SharePoint
    • September 21: Accreditation Steering Committee, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
    • By September 24: Draft plan established for developing Quality Focus Essay (QFE)
    • October: Begin Quality Focus Essay (QFE) process
    • October 26: Accreditation Steering Committee, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
    • November 30: Accreditation Steering Committee, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
    • December 3: Standards committees’ revised drafts due
  • Winter 2019: Revise/edit full ISER; update as needed. Continue to work on evidence as needed. Work on QFE.
  • Spring 2019: Complete QFE. Continue revisions and updates for ISER and evidence, as needed. Distribution of ISER for first readings and comments.
    • End of March: Drafty draft of QFE
    • March 29: Accreditation Steering Committee, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
    • April 26: Accreditation Steering Committee, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
    • April 30-May 3, 2019: ACCJC Conference. April 30, 8:30 a.m. to May 3, 12:00 p.m. https://accjc.org/event/2019-accjc-conference/​ (Burlingame)
    • By May 6: Revised draft of QFE merged into full ISER draft to distribute to nor-all
    • May: First reading of ISER in shared governance committees (Academic Senate, Classified Senate, ASNC, ISPC, COTW)
  • Summer 2019: Final revision of ISER, including QFE. Updating data/evidence. Evidence ready; check active links in ISER.
  • Fall 2019: Revised ISER distributed and second/final reading and approvals in shared governance committees. Board of Trustees approval.
    • September: Second readings and approvals in shared governance committees
    • October: Submission to Board of Trustees for November Board meeting (?)
    • November (?): Board of Trustees approval of ISER
    • November (following Board approval): Complete signature page and upload final ISER to flash drive, with evidence, to send to ACCJC
    • December: Send ISER flash drive to ACCJC
  • Spring 2020: Accreditation team visit (March).
