mahmad15@student.rcd.edu

Candidate Statement: Hey everyone! My name is Haroun Ahmad, and I am running for the Vice President of Finance position for the 2024-2025 school year. I joined ASNC under the finance department as a representative in the spring of 2024. In my few months of being a part of ASNC, the representation and sense of community have led me to want to expand my role in ASNC and pursue the vice president of Finance role. As a representative, I have assisted Desiree, the vice president in the 2023-24 year, with budget deliberations and requisitions. I will enter my second year at Norco College and am on a Pre-Law/Business track. My goal as the vice president of finance is to remain consistent with the standards that have already been exceeded, while also making improvements relating to budgeting that will make the department more organized, cementing them for future years so that the true potential of the finance department and ASNC can be utilized. As the Vice President of Finance, I will prioritize the proper management of funding and make necessary changes to the Finance Code to benefit various organizations throughout Norco College. EVidrios1@student.rccd.edu

Candidate Statement: Hello my fellow colleagues and friends, I am Emiliano Vidrios, a Business Administration (Financial Planning) major entering into my third at our college. As an active member of our community, I believe that community engagement is an important element for a successful student body. I’m currently a first year Senator for ASNC activities. In this role, I have assisted our activities team with event planning, including securing vendors, contributing to event organization, and bringing  a motivational speaker. Additionally, I serve as the current President of our  new club at our campus, Norco College Business Development Club, and I previously held the position of Vice President for the Game Development Club, where I assisted with ICC presentations and served as the Interim ICC Representative

I want to serve our community, and the best way I see to do so is by running for the Vice President of Finance. As a student who pays our student service fees, I believe that we are not asking enough questions at our legislative meetings at ASNC and ICC about how we are spending our funds. If you elect me as VP of Finance, I will ensure that we use our student fees wisely which means I will make sure that me and the finance committee insure that any money being used from our budget will be for the benefit of our student body. I will nominate Senators who share the same concerns and vision for our college, and when it comes to the process of making our budget, I will ensure that the process is fair and inclusive. I will advocate for a budget that serves the needs of our growing programs like our athletics departments and our organizations. Thank you, Emiliano Vidrios for Finance
