Library

A library is a collection of sources of information and similar resources, made accessible to a defined community for reference or borrowing. It provides physical or digital access to material, and may be a physical building or room, or a virtual space, or both. A library's collection can include books, periodicals, newspapers, manuscripts, films, maps, prints, documents, microfilm, CDs, cassettes, videotapes, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, e-books, audiobooks, databases, and other formats.

As the heart of the academic experience at Norco College, the Wilfred J. Airey Library provides informational leadership, instruction, access to technology, and learning resources supporting: the mission of the college; the development of lifelong information competency skills; and the overall success of the learning community. The Library course at Norco College present the fundamentals of the effective use of libraries to find, evaluate, interpret, and organize information from a variety of formats. This course can be useful to students who want to get the most out of using the library, and/or students who are learning english as a second language.
