Sheriff’s Department recognized for keeping our students and communities safe

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department team that intercepted the terror plot against Norco College was honored at the RCCD board meeting on Tuesday night. Norco College President Bryan Reece, along with RCCD Chancellor Wolde-Ab Isaac and the Board of Trustees, recognized the Department for keeping our students and communities safe.

Deputies assigned to the Norco and Jurupa Valley stations, as well as dispatcher Jennifer Hall, Norco station Lt. Eric Briddick, Jurupa Valley station commander Capt. Daniel Hedge, were among the eight representing what Briddick said were 20-30 people who worked 18 hours straight on Feb. 19 to identify and locate the man who they said hatched the plot.

“On behalf of Norco College, I commend the men and women of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for their steadfast commitment to protecting our college,” said President Bryan Reece.”
