Norco College hires first director of the Veterans Resource Center

Norco College welcomes Lorenzo “Gunny” Harmon III as the first director of the Veterans Resource Center.

Harmon served 21 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring as gunnery sergeant. He managed large units specializing in recruiting and logistics. He has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of La Verne and is working on a master’s degree in educational counseling.

“I am passionate about serving veterans and am excited to lead the Norco College Veterans Resource Center,” he said.

Harmon comes to us from Mt. San Antonio College, where he ran the veterans center for five years.

Plans to expand the existing Veterans Resource Center, which opened in 2010, are well underway. The 10,000-square-foot center is scheduled to open in 2020.
