Norco College Sends Care Packages to Troops

The Norco College Veterans Club joined forces with students, faculty and staff to send care packages to service men and women stationed in the Middle East.

“It started in spring 2013 by a very industrious Veterans Club president, Joshua Wear,” said Linda Wright, Veterans Club advisor.  “We have not looked back since and plan to carry on this tradition.”

Donations are collected every semester and include: soft cover books, pens, paper, batteries, boot socks (black, tan, or olive green), letters of support, and single-serving size snacks and non-perishable food items. Click to view a detailed item list.

“Our goal is to boost the morale of the troops overseas by sending a little bit of home. We hope these packages will brighten their day and make them feel appreciated for their honorable service to our nation,” said Eric Betancourt, a veterans services technician. “It is the least we can do for those who sacrifice so much for our freedom.”
