Norco College Hosts Dia De Los Muertos – Day of the Dead – Celebration

Norco College Legacy and Norco Associated Students will host a Day of the Dead celebration November 1, from 12:50 to 1:50 pm in the Amphitheater. Pedro Rivera, Associate Faculty of Spanish will give a lecture titled, “What is Day of the Dead?” in CSS 217 from 1 to 1:30 pm. All are encouraged to set up an altar to honor ancestors.

 

Day of the Dead or Dia De Los Muertos is a celebration that captures the unity between life and death. The event will include: learning about Day of the Dead and its cultural tradition, sugar skull decorating, placing a note to ancestors or loved ones on an Altar Wall, face painting, music and other activities.
