The Friends of RCCD Forensics organization is made up of educators and community leaders and a rich history of hosting speech competitions for Inland Empire high schools.
“Over the last nine years we’ve been able to offer intermediate and middle school students a unique opportunity to practice and enhance skill sets in public speaking, argumentation and critical speaking as well as other areas,” said Gustavo Oceguera, associate dean, Grants and College Support Programs. “We realize the challenges facing middle school age students and believe their involvement in this program assists them in their academic and social development.”
Participants will be judged in informative speaking, storytelling, great speech and my hero. The public is welcome to attend the event, which begins at 8:30 am. At 12:30 pm there will be an awards ceremony in the JFK Commons area.
