2nd Annual Student Exhibit Opens at Norco College Art Gallery in May
On May 14 the Norco College Arts Gallery will host an opening reception for the 2nd Annual Art and Design Student Exhibition. The reception, scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m., is open to the public and introduces patrons to the two-week show.

More than 40 works by Norco College student artists will be on exhibit, including drawings and paintings in pen, charcoal, acrylics and other media, along with photos and computer game art illustrations. The gallery’s eight large digital screens provide perfect showcases for digital artworks.

“I think this exhibit is one of the best we’ve seen from our student artists,” said Karen Skiba, professor emerita of art and gallery director. “Their work represents classes ranging from Figure Drawing to Animation to Design Graphics and shows the incredible arts education available to our students. I encourage local art lovers and the community to come and enjoy these young artists’ creations.”

The 2nd Annual Art and Design Student Exhibit runs May 13-20. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon.-Fri. Admission is free and the gallery is open to the public.
