Dr. Lee has 30 years of teaching and administrative experience in private and public higher education. He has a bachelor’s in Liberal Studies from California State University, Fresno, a master’s in TESOL from the University of Southern California, and an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from the University of La Verne.
After completing his master’s degree at USC, Dr. Lee worked as a student advisor. In 1993, he founded the USC International Academy, a comprehensive intensive English and graduate preparation program. He spent eight years as the director of the Academy, which has served thousands of undergraduate and graduate students.
In 2002, Dr. Lee transitioned to the community college system where he worked as associate dean of Language Arts at Citrus College. Later, he became the dean of Language Arts and then dean of Language Arts and Enrollment Management.
Dr. Lee specializes in enrollment management and led the annual schedule planning and management efforts of the district. With a passion for student success and for creating and strengthening teams, programs, and systems, he has presented at several colleges on implementing schedule management and planning systems that facilitate a team approach to schedule building. His goal is to simplify the planning process, improve efficiency, and optimize schedules for student opportunity and completion.
Lee and his wife, Angie, reside in Pasadena. They have three adult children, a dog, cat and four chickens.
