Candidate Statement: Hey everyone! My name is Haroun Ahmad, and I am running for the Vice President of Finance position for the 2024-2025 school year. I joined ASNC under the finance department as a representative in the spring of 2024. In my few months of being a part of ASNC, the representation and sense of community have led me to want to expand my role in ASNC and pursue the vice president of Finance role. As a representative, I have assisted Desiree, the vice president in the 2023-24 year, with budget deliberations and requisitions. I will enter my second year at Norco College and am on a Pre-Law/Business track. My goal as the vice president of finance is to remain consistent with the standards that have already been exceeded, while also making improvements relating to budgeting that will make the department more organized, cementing them for future years so that the true potential of the finance department and ASNC can be utilized. As the Vice President of Finance, I will prioritize the proper management of funding and make necessary changes to the Finance Code to benefit various organizations throughout Norco College. Let's make the school year 2024-2025 another great one for ASNC!
